Forest Lake, 2021

In 2021, UE “Zelenstroy of the Partizansky District of Minsk” created a 930-metre semi-circular educational, recreational eco-trail “Forest Lake” in the 160.04 ha Stepyanka forest park for residents of the neighbourhood. The trail base is made of fine-fraction granite screenings.

Twenty benches were installed as part of a 2021 best-bench competition, along with four information stands: local plants, separate waste collection, rules of conduct in the forest park, and pollution of the elements.

The trail also has an interactive zone “Guess the animal by its track” and a photo zone “Forester’s throne”. The entrance area has bicycle parking and a wooden children’s play town; birdhouses made by children during the summer holidays and donated to the district are placed along the trail.

A volleyball court was landscaped nearby and sports equipment (a horizontal bar and parallel bars) was repaired. Navigation along the eco-trail uses animal-shaped wayfinding signs.
